FAQ
Are there restrictions on where you can fly the drone?
Drone work is flown under an FAA Part 107 license, which means airspace near airports and certain other areas has real restrictions. If your site falls into one of those zones, that gets sorted out during scoping, before the shoot day.
What happens if weather cancels the shoot day?
Wind, rain and low visibility all affect drone flight and outdoor stills. If conditions are not safe or usable on the scheduled day, the shoot gets rescheduled rather than pushed through with unusable footage.
Can you shoot more than one location in a single visit?
A half-day session is scoped for one location. Multiple sites or a full day of shooting can be arranged, so it's worth mentioning all the locations you want covered when you're scoping the shoot.
What if I don't know exactly what to shoot?
That's normal. Most shoots cover a mix of the categories above: your team and premises, finished work, drone footage where the site suits it, and a few short clips for video. What actually gets shot is worked out together before the shoot day, not left for you to plan alone.
